What does ITS stand for?

Intelligent Transport Systems. This expression designates the applications of new information and communication technologies to the field of transport

The aim of this site is to present the benefits of ITS in clear and simple terms:

  • by highlighting the issues they address in relation to transport development and more sustainable mobility
  • by presenting concrete examples of their application and reference material

The site is primarily aimed at contracting authorities and project managers who are not ITS specialists but who are responsible for transport, travel or road safety projects.

This site has been designed for use with the browser Mozilla Firefox. The site may not display correctly if using other browsers.
